Fete des Jardins
I went downstairs to wait for Chuck who had gone out for groceries, and was handed a program by a man standing by the entrance. Yet another interesting weekend of activities, this one about gardens. The one next to the Cite was about kitchen gardens. There was an information tent, a man singing and doing a puppet show for children, and displays of vegetables. There are gardens all over the city that are open and have different programs going on. We had wondered about the red watering can sculpture that had appeared in the garden a couple days ago. Chuck took a picture of it, even. Now we saw that it was the sign for the fete. We walked over to the Jardin des Plantes, which was a very long walk, longer than I thought, and stayed there briefly. Chuck took a picture of a dragon especially for Ryan. It's made of recycled materials. He also took a picture of a crow, plus some flowers. We decided to come back another day and stay longer.
