Catching up on Mailart - 2

Lately, I've been having trouble getting images up onto my blog and to IUOMA (International Union of Mail Artists. I don't know why, and because I don't know why, I can't fix it. I had planned to put information about the pieces that I posted in my previous post but was unable to do so as the images came up as code with no way for me to know where one image stopped and another began, so no info, thus my own comment on my own posting. I had hope to be more active again on this blog, as in the past, but that looks like it won't happen. too bad. Not that I have a lot of visitors, but this was a nice archive for me. I'm going to attempt to add a photo to this post. Wish me luck (me to myself) Well, it's showing up here as code. I hope it appears as an image in the actual post. Puzzled, very puzzled.

The back yard/jardine, continued.

 We were so surprised when we entered our back yard last night after driving home from Lynchburg. It's like it had snowed!  This is the base on which the patio will be laid. The area behind the tree will be planted, as will the strip along the fence to the left.

 Chuck is contemplating how the yard furniture will look.

 The forsythia is in bloom adding a nice color contrast to the bricks and the "snow."

My bench will return to it's corner by the garage and big pots of plants will go by that fence. We can't believe we waited so long to do this. We're imagining many fiestas out in this space.

A dusting of snow, sun ahead....

Yesterday morning view of the back yard. A light dusting of snow, just enough, no more...it's all I need or want. It's very cold here, as in most of the U.S., and my down (and feather) coat is serving me well. The feather part is not appreciated. When I take my coat off, small white feathers are clinging to my black wool sweaters. I have to "pluck" myself. There is, however, sun ahead for me as in two days I fly off to sunny California to help my mother celebrate her 96th birthday. How sweet is that? I don't know how often I'll get to post while I'm there but hopefully my first post when I can do it, will be of a sunny sky. Fingers crossed.
