Some more snow fun...

On Sunday, I got out and walked my pup (he didn't like it) around the block. I found a strong stick to use as a walking aide and put on my cute Ignatius hat! I love it, so Dr. Seuss! Today, the sun is so bright and at 40F the snow is starting to melt. I went out, shoveled the front steps (grunt grunt grunt) and broomed off the car (more grunting) and caught this shadow of myself on the neighbors front retaining wall. Pup went out into the yard and did some exploring. Without the usual smells, it's a whole new world out there for him (I think.) the bird house on the fence had a snowy hat. This will all be a memory in a couple days and the snow predicted for Friday will erase every last trace. So I'm enjoying collecting memories of a snowy Richmond VA.

News about poles (shelf redux?)

The shelf may be gone but the pole remains. I found a blue and red ribbon and an orchid (a real one) on the pole a couple days ago. On Monday evening, while walking Smitty, we saw our neighbors, Jan and Ray, and they told us about something curious on a pole a block further. We walked together and there was a little note, the letters were curiously like worms and there were little birds heads, we looked up and there was a BIRD HOUSE!! Wild! A bit later, on our homeward bound walk, we saw our neighbor, Richard, and he said that there was a birdhouse on every pole, on both sides of the street, for a couple blocks. Now that is really wild! Did the shelf encourage this? I wonder about that, and I wonder, how long will these bird houses stay up on the poles?

Here I am, back again after a long hiatus

No explanations as to my hiatus. It's boring. But I'm back. And here's what I've been making. Lots and lots of these. They...
