The source of material for these cards is an old Paris guide book, VERY old, and old receipts for goods, that are also VERY old. I add the rubber stamp image, reproduction post marks.








With this one, I got daring, I broke the grid and angled the paper. It give the composition more action.

 This is a treat from my friend Dean, in Paris. I joined his banana group. I'm not sure what I'll do in the group but it's got to be banana related. Dean made this digital collage for me. How perfect that he lives somewhere that there are Mim stores.

This past week, I got a wonderful surprise. Mary E, a mail art buddy, sent me this gorgeous tiny tea cup, and an extra tiny saucer. It's just so gold and blue. I love it. Thanks, Mary!

My birthday week! ¡Feliz cumpleaños! Joyeux anniversaire!

This is the week of my birthday.
 Because of my birthday, I'm having a sale in my Etsy shop, Fritzi. I put the Skull Pockets on sale!

I love my birthday. I don't plan any big celebrations but I always feel so great on my birthday. I do only the things I want to do, which this week includes attending my Spanish Meet-Up group, having lunch at Amuse, the restaurant at VMFA, with some friends, and pizza for dinner with my husband, son and nearly daughter-in-law. I'm so excited about MY day. No joking, I just love it! It's MY day, though I did find out last week, that Jessica, another student in my Spanish class, shares MY DAY! There were only 4 students in the group that day and two of us have the same birthday. We found that really interesting. I'll bake a cake to take to class, but someone else plans to bring cake to the Meet-up. Grateful me, grateful me.

I don't have many photos of myself as a very small child. I treasure this one.   I wonder what is in my hand? What am I playing with?

Several years ago, my friend Tommy White spotted this graffiti somewhere and sent it to me (Where was that?) Recently, Julien sent me three photos with Mim. Two are from his home town of Istanbul and one is from Paris. I stood in front of that very shop in Paris and had a guard tell me that I couldn't have my photo taken there. I said, but that's my name (Je suis Mim!)

A request: if you spot a "mim" anywhere, take a photo and sent it to me. I'd love that.
