Belle Isle with Skull-a-day

Today, Noah created a skull-a-day image using people. We were invited to join him on Belle Isle for the photo shoot at 9 this morning. The pedestrian bridge is under the James River vehicle bridge and is quite dramatic. We got wonderful views of the river as we crossed over. Under the bridge, on the south side, was our staging site. You can see the image created on the skull-a-day web site. Here is a photo of the legs of the people in front of me and one of Noah on the landing with his camera, getting us into position.


Belle Isle

Walking back across the James River gave us this wonderful view of the curving vehicle bridge overhead. I found this beautiful but frightening, for reasons I can't talk about in this post. This one canoe with fishing guys looked so peaceful. There's part of an older bridge, just a rusty partial structure remains and the stone supports in the water. I, also, liked the heavy duty cable connections.
