 Here are a group of artists' show cards that I minimally altered.

I'd spent some time cutting out images, since I spend a lot of time sitting around these days. It keeps me from nodding off to sleep!

I'm starting to feel more myself, now that I'm going out for physical therapy, and getting stronger. This is a very good feeling, to state the obvious.

I want to share with you some of the lovely trays my honey brought to me for various meals.

This is a dinner of food from various friends. Lentil soup from Roshan, with her pasta salad in it, veggie tarte from Beth Ann, cheese spread from Eileen.

 Here's another dinner with the soup, and cheese spread, plus chickpeas and a bean spread. And my honey gave me 2 choices of crackers!

Here's a simple breakfast on a day when I
didn't feel like eating much.

 Here's another lovely dinner, with the veggie tarte, some of Roshan's rice, salad, and left overs from my birthay dinner (Japanese food.)

You can see that I didn't go hungry during the early days of my recuperation.

And my honey presented everything so appetizingly, didn't he?

Now I'm able to go downstairs and eat at the kitchen table. Yay.

Wednesday, out and about

I haven't been feeling great, sinus thingy, headcold, whatever, but yesterday I was doing a bit better and we went out for lunch to La Perla. It's a "Mexican" bar/resto nearby. Chuck got his usual Nachos Pacifico and I got a quesadilla made with cheeses one doesn't usually find in Mexican food. The place has a nice ambience, friendly, nice staff. Check out the papa with his two enfants. Love it, lunch at the bar.

A day with friends...

We spent a lovely day, yesterday, with los padres de Carlos. They took us around to see a few sites then to see the Marriott Hotel & casino where Carlos Sr. works. It was very impressive, very big, very active. The pool had fountains and slides, a bar where you sit on a stool in the water, and places to sit and enjoy looking at the ocean, which we did after lunch. The lunch was a buffet where we could sample lots of things we might not have otherwise tried. For dessert, we tried some typical sweets, majarete y tembleque. I managed to speak español with the madre, feeling pretty pleased with myself that I could be understood, though I’m sure I sounded like a niña.
