I found the missing Mail Art!!

2015 - #139 through #144
These cards were sent out for International Banana recognition day. I snapped a photo in my super market. A great display of lots of bananas! I printed out the photos and added a circle or a square and the words "I'm going bananas." A good a title as any.

And here are some images of some of my incoming Mail Art. So many lovely gifts of mail. I can't thank the senders fast enough.

Mail art and calm waters

My Mail Art buddy Mary sent this card to me, thanking me for sending her some Mail Art; but, I added the postage stamps, couldn't help myself, and sent it back to her. Somehow, those mountains and the water called for alteration. I was in an altering mood! ha haha ha. Again, the scale changes so much with these alterations.
A letter writing friend of mine, whom I bought postage from via Etsy, sent me a couple stickers of old timey girls. Here's one that I altered and added to a composition. I think what happens for me with making these Mail Art pieces is that I amuse myself. How good is that?
Someone sent this ATC to me recently, but I took it out of the envelope and then didn't remember who it came from. It's dated 2003 and the eMail address is no longer in existence. I really like it. It's a paper geisha on a piece of silk fabric background. 2.5" x 3.5" I just had to share it with you. It looks lovely and feels really nice.
I received this sewn card from a member of IUOMA, Rebecca in Arkansas USA. It arrived in a clear envelope, with the notice that the envelope can be recycled. You know, of course, what I'm going to do. Use it for something else, right?
Here's a calm, serene, water view to keep us cool on a very hot day (in RVA.)

Mail art in and mail art out

I received this from Cernjul who lives in Buenos Aires. Her envelope is as lively as what was inside of it.  I feel so honored to be the recipient of so much lovely mail.
This came from Fleur  in California. A tiny envelope made from origami paper, with small photos of store windows in it, and mailed in a clear envelope. So fabulous. Oh, and the stamps didn't get cancelled. Yay, this didn't go through the machinery.
These are the two pieces of mail that came one day after another, from Katerina in Greece. So much fun to see what is included in her colorful envelopes.
Marie sent sent this from Japan. Fabulous!
I altered a photo postcard, one of a packet that Juli sent to me. A reminder, we're departing soon and any mail that arrives after 30 Dec. won't be seen for 2 months!

It's August already!!!

The summer is half way over, and glad about it. It's been so hot here and we look forward to cooler days.  I'm writing writing this...
