The Petit Palais is the Beaux Arts museum of Paris. We'd never been there and since it was Ouverte et Libre (open and free) and we had need of the toilette, we went into it. The collection itself wasn't all that interesting to us, but the building was wonderful. It was built for the 1900 World's Fair and is different from the Grand Palais (which we've been in many times) with it's steel and glass interior.
The cafe is very modern, designed by Phillip Starck.
We liked the design of the plastic ware and rather than having it tossed, we took it with us as a souvenir. Crazy tourists!
