Mail art, the patio and the water.

It was so gorgeous out on Friday, that we had lunch on the patio. There was no humidity, which is a big deal here, and the temperature wasn't too high. So nice.




These postcards are a series that I'm trying out, in preparation for participating in an art book project between mail artists. It's about "asemic writing", a term I was not at all familiar with. You can read about it here and here.
Aqua Duck







This rubbery duck bobs around in the pool, taking the temperature of the water. On Friday morning, the water temp was 86F/30C, but the air was cool and there was a breeze. We were shivering when we got out of the water, but the early morning exercise was so good.

How did I get into this?

I was asked when I started doing Mailart. Good question. Like many artists, I was making and mailing art without even knowing it had a name ...
