Last night we met some friends at a crepe restaurant near the Gobelins tapestry factory. It was a very small restaurant called La Taverne des Poetes. We had saracens for our main crepe and followed with a dessert crepe. C also tried there French onion soup. The waiter was very nice to speak his little bit of English with us and even put a sparkler on the dessert. We walked back to the Cite des Arts after eating. It was maybe 2 miles, a nice walk, with the last part crossing the Seine at the end of Ile St. Louis so we got to cross it twice actually. We have the names of two other crepes places that are better than the one we ate at and hopefully we'll get to one of them before we return home. I'd like to try some other dessert crepes. Isn't this a cute little restaurant?
