 I made this one specifically for a member of my "circles" group on IUOMA. It was sent to her before I left for our beach vacation.









Since water, the beach, the ocean, was on my mind, I grabbed a vintage postcard and added this boatman that had been waiting on my table for just the right moment and card to alter.
A friend suggested that he'd be fun added to other cards so I scanned him and will clone him. Watch for more of him in the future.

It's always fun to make a traveling mail art kit and spend some time away from home.

I had a few people join me in making mail art. Specifically for a 3 year old, the daughter of a friend of our daughter. She's in hospital with some severe problems.
If you'd like to send her mail - she likes octopi, dolphins, and other under water things.

 My niece sent me a photo of some old art work of mine that she'd discovered in the last, little house my mother lived in. It's a lithograph that I'd made when I was in graduate school. Rather than having my niece return it to me, across the miles, and years, she's keeping it to hang in her place. Yay.

 Here's the Mailogram that Keith Bates made for me. I'm having a rubber stamp made of it and of the Ray Johnson Bunny name piece. I can't wait to use them. I've been printing this on adhesive paper and having a rough time peeling the backing off. Well, not that rough, but a stamp will be easier.

 Here's one way I've used the Mailogram recently. I started an add-n-pass, which I may never see again, but it's fun to think of this being changed up.

If I ever get it back, I'll let you know.

 Here's the treasure trove of stamps that a friend gave to me. She had no idea how excited, happy, elated that I'd be. Jackpot!! Lottery winner!! so happy. I've enjoyed using them and practicing my math skills.

We lost another good Mail Art friend last week. Lee Ashraf El Masry, Camel O-Rama, Poison Label, and most recently Veneno Estampo. He was very dear to a lot of us, very active in our Mail Art community. We are so sad for his family. My last conversation was in end of April on Facebook Messenger. Chit chat chit chat. How sweet to read it again. RIP my friend.

 Our grand-girl added color and put some googly eyes on a fashion model in W magazine. it tickled me SO much. I took a close up photo of the face. and then made this triple portrait. So silly and funny. I laugh every time I look at it. What do you think?

On Friday, I drove over to the museum to attend Zona española and parked between two behemoths. I looked back at my car and was astounded at how tiny my car looked. I had to snap this photo. Doesn't it look like a toy car?

 I'm trying to find a pattern to replicate this little folder.

I made it a long time ago, and ended up sewing it into a little art book.

I thought the pattern was in a book but I can't find it in any of the ones that I have. Could have been a library book or a book that I lent out.

I think it was given as a Stamp Holder.

Does anybody recognize this?

 I was recycling some old magazines, 1960, that I couldn't have in my studio anymore because of the OLD smell.

I did glean a few images of sweets from an advert. Couldn't resist them.

Postcard Post Secret

Added an arm in this one just for the fun of it.












A friend an I went up to Washington, DC, last week to see the exhibit at the Renwick Gallery. I had to, of course, stop at the US Postal Museum. My friend hadn't  been there before so I was eager to show it to her. There was an exhibit of postcards from Post Secret. Many were on display but so many had been received that there was a huge glassed in area full of bundled cards. This is only a portion of them. I couldn't take a full photo without lots of reflections, so I put my camera against the glass to capture this small portion.
It was a terrific exhibit.




Here's a view of the interior of the downstairs area central space. If you're in the area and haven't yet been to this museum, do go. It's right next to the train station. And entry is gratis.

 Yesterday, I finished the 30 days of creativity on #CreativeSprint!

For the last day, our prompt was to give ourselves and award or a trophy. I made something that would be visible to others so that I could start a conversation about the Sprint. I wore it to see a play last night and today I'll wear it when going out in public. It says "Finished" but in reality, I'll keep going with my own prompts.
