Water Tanks
One of the things I like to photograph when I'm in New York City is those ubiquitous water towers. I read an article about them recently and found out that they are made of wood with nothing holding them together but bands of metal and the water soaking into the wood and expanding it. Wow! I usually don't get to see them on this level but a gallery that I was in was on an upper floor, giving me a great view of two tanks.
